Child Evangelism Fellowship Missionary From Dervock

Lynda McAuley, Child Evangelism Fellowship missionary (CEF) from Dervock tells us about her work with the Mission.

Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done…

That they might set their hope in God. Psalm 78 v 4 & 7

I am so thankful to God that from childhood I was faithfully taught the glorious gospel message and of my need of the Lord Jesus Christ as my own and personal Saviour. I praise God for saving me when I was 12 years of age and for all His goodness to me day by day.

I trained as a Primary School teacher and taught for five years. During this time, I really enjoyed teaching Sunday School in Dervock Presbyterian Church, in Good News Club in Derrykeighan each Saturday evening and being involved in Holiday Bible Clubs, Camps & 5 Day Clubs in the summer months. It was a wonderful privilege to be able to open God’s precious Word to the children on a regular basis. How gracious of God to use us in His work. Over this period of time I knew the Lord’s leading and entered into full time CEF work in August 2014. I thank God for His steadfast, gracious provision and for His dear people who pray so faithfully and support so generously to enable me to be involved in this lovely task of teaching the children.

After completing my training and a period of deputation I moved to Co. Mayo in June 2017 to seek to establish CEF ministry in this county. I am thankful to God for the people who have fervently prayed and have laboured much over the years for the children in this beautiful county. We praise God for the opportunities which He has granted for regular Good News Clubs to begin in Ballina, Ballinrobe, Castlebar, Claremorris and Westport. It is also a privilege to visit schools to teach Bible lessons at Christmas and Easter.

The summer months provide great opportunities for Holiday Bible Clubs, 5 Day Clubs and Camp. We long and pray for the Lord to raise up a generation in Co. Mayo whose hope is in Him (Psalm 78). Thank you for praying that God will draw many boys and girls unto Himself for salvation and that they will go on loving and living for their Master all the days of their lives.

I thank you so much for your prayerful interest and support at this time.
